About
‘Physical function’ refers to the ability of a person to perform everyday activities. As we get older, we generally experience a gradual decline in our physical function, but poor physical function is not regularly diagnosed by health professionals and many older adults are unaware that it can be improved.
This research project involves collaboration with people aged 60 years and older to understand their perspectives and experiences on physical function, and to develop resources that can support them to manage their own physical function.
This will be achieved initially through a ‘Delphi process’ which requires participants to complete two brief online questionnaires. This approach attempts to determine the community’s priorities for addressing issues related to physical function.
We are inviting adults to participate in two brief online surveys approximately 4-8 weeks apart.
